Job Overview
We are seeking a clinically experienced, detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to support our advanced wound care specialty group with comprehensive chart reviews , documentation auditing , and clinical coordination . This role involves reviewing patient records, reconciling lab and imaging data, and collaborating with providers and the Medical Director to ensure accurate and compliant clinical documentation aligned with internal and CMS standards.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming patient records, consults, discharge summaries, and historical documentation
• Ensure labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies are accurately reflected in provider notes
• Audit provider notes for accuracy, completeness, and guideline compliance
• Suggest edits to documentation using templates and established rules
• Collaborate with providers to support adherence to documentation protocols
• Work closely with the Medical Director to uphold documentation quality and standards
• Monitor documentation timeliness and escalate concerns as needed

Experience
Candidates should have a strong background in the following areas:

• Active Physician Assistant license (FL preferred but not required for remote work)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, or wound care
• Prior experience in chart audits , EHR systems , and CMS documentation guidelines
• Strong grasp of medical necessity , risk adjustment , and clinical documentation integrity
• Excellent written communication , detail orientation , and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
• Managed care knowledge including Medicare guidelines and ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10).
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to wound healing processes.

Tech/ EMR Skills

• Proficient with EMR systems (e.g., EpicCare, Tebra, others)
• Skilled in navigating, editing, and reconciling clinical documentation
• Comfortable using shared tools such as Google Docs , Excel , and task lists within EMRs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Experience:

• Physician Assistant: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• PA-C (Required)
