Job Description

Intune Physical Therapy is a growing company and has partnered with Rehab Guru, a general orthopedics, cranio-facial and pelvic health-focused practice, to offer physical therapy services to patients in the Omaha, NE area. What distinguishes Rehab Guru is the commitment to quality patient care through exclusive one-on-one treatment sessions, ensuring each patient receives undivided attention from their physical therapist. You will be an employee of Intune PT which is doing business as Rehab Guru in this market.

Role Summary

Are you a welcoming, organized individual with excellent customer service skills? Join our physical therapy clinic team as a Patient Care Coordinator where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional who can create a positive first impression while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities to ensure our clinic runs smoothly and our patients feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

  • We are open to part-time, full-time, and PRN shift preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying insurance and collecting required documentation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the therapists' calendars effectively
  • Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately
  • Process patient payments and manage daily financial transactions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Manage electronic medical records and ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
  • Handle general office duties including patient documents and supply management
  • Assist with insurance claims processing as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and practice management software
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and positive, friendly demeanor
  • Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred
