Job Description

Mercy in St. Louis, Missouri, is currently seeking an additional Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our busy and well-established team on campus of Mercy Heart Hospital South .

Mercy South , a 767-bed hospital, has been a healing presence in the area for more than 140 years. It is the only Level II Trauma Center in South County with approximately 80,000 ED visits annually. This location also has a 3-star designation by STS, and is 1 of only 30 Programs in the country to complete the Edwards Benchmark Program for TAVR.

Mercy Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

• Well-integrated heart team offers leading-edge services with involvement from Cardiac Anesthesia, Interventional Cardiology, and Imaging Services.
• High complexity of cases including HOCM, valves, and aneurysms.
• opportunity to participate in a busy lead extraction program, a thoracic program, and a Mitral Clip program.
• Rigorously defined post-operative clinical pathways and Early Recovery After Surgery Program .
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team that ensures you have the support to deliver exceptional individualized care to patients.
• Largest Primary Care Network & Referral Base in the Greater St. Louis area.
• Partnership with administration and a voice when it comes to decisions regarding how you practice medicine.
