This position is responsible for accurately packaging products for shipment, assembling boxes, placing products inside boxes and filling with proper packing or cushioning materials. Ensure timely delivery of customer orders by adhering to shipping deadlines and quality standards. Works well with different levels of management and plant supervisors as well as employees.

Daily Workflow:
» Confer with supervisor to ascertain packing to be used
» Meet shipping deadlines requested by customers
» Maintain production efficiency and quality standards while identifying areas for improvement
» Operate and maintain equipment such as the box maker and Speedy Packer system to ensure proper packaging
» Prepare large orders by stacking boxes on crates or pallets and securely shrink wrapping
» Assemble shipping boxes and securely seal them
» Maintain inventory of boxes, labels, and supplies, troubleshooting equipment as needed
» Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform regular scheduled equipment maintenance
» Communicate effectively with managers and staff across departments to maintain workflow
» Ensure a safe, clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations
» Contribute to process improvement and team goals by accomplishing related tasks as assigned
We’re Seeking:
» 2 to 3 years of related experience in shipping & packaging work is preferred
» Effectively communicates (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments
» Computer literacy and excellent organization and leadership skills are necessary
» Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
» High School Diploma or GED (Required)
» Must pass a background check
» Must pass drug screening (THC OK)
Schedule:
» Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
